Carrick
The name Carrick derives from the gold mining town and the mountain range to which Carrick looks. Founders Barbara and Steve Green had a love for Pinot Noir and were impressed with the efforts of pioneers Alan Brady and Rolf Mills in the early 1990s, and so in 1994 planted the Cairnmuir vineyard.
Located within the unique microclimate of Bannockburn, Central Otago, the region is renowned for its specific suitability of the Pinot Noir Grape. And Carrick's fine wines are testament to the development of substantial Pinot Noir viticultural and winemaking expertise in this region. The duo uses sustainable viticulture practices to produce optimum quality grapes, which in 2011 saw them receive full organic certification.
