Main Divide derives from the local name of the mighty range of Southern Alps. The Alps form the backbone of Te Wai Pounamu, the South Island of New Zealand. Formed by the Donaldson Family, Main Divide’s philosophy is based on individuality and harmony. The Waipara based vineyard produce wines with a distinctive vibrancy featuring lively fruit flavours.
With many years of experience and passion, winemaker Mat Donaldson has a talent for producing wines which clearly express the characteristics of each unique vineyard.
