Concha Y Toro has climbed to the No.1 position in the ranking "The Most Powerful Wine Brands", prepared annually by the English consultancy Intangible Business. It is a meteoric rise of eight positions compared to last year’s ranking,
Eduardo Guilisasti, chief executive of Viña Concha y Toro, highlighted this achievement as a source of pride for all who are part of the Concha y Toro team: "This international recognition reinforces the globality and high visibility and image that the Concha y Toro brand has achieved. It is something which we have been working for over a long period of time. It is a great achievement not only for our brand but also for Chilean wine to grow in importance in the global wine industry."
The winery has consistently appeared in the ranking since 2006, progressing year by year to the leadership positions. However, it has risen to the Top 1 position in the 2014 study, beating brands like the Americans Gallo and Robert Mondavi and the Australians Hardy’s and Jacobs Creek. Significantly notable was its growth in the parameter "perception of the brand" and "market share in the wine industry".
