EUROVINTAGE has been named 2012’s Outstanding Supplier at a glittering ceremony on Sunday night celebrating the 10^th anniversary of the Lewisham Awards.

First established in 2003 by an independent committee and administered by the Auckland Branch of the Restaurant Association, the Lewisham Awards are the Auckland hospitality industry’s Oscars and have fast become the pinnacle of the city’s hospitality calendar.

Over 700 guests from all corners of Auckland’s hospitality community gathered at the SKYCITY Convention Centre to acknowledge and celebrate their industry heroes across a multitude of categories including Outstanding Wine List, Sales Representative, Wine Service Professional, Chef, Waiter, Barista and Restaurateur.

EUROVINTAGE Chief Executive Nick Hern was thrilled to accept the Outstanding Supplier Award on behalf of his team. He acknowledged the trade for their fantastic support and wished them the very best for the winter trading period ahead.

Hern thanked his team for their collaborative effort and made special mention of the logistics, customer service, and administration members of the EUROVINTAGE team and the key role they play in delivering the Company’s service promise.

Leading into the Awards night EUROVINTAGE had two nominations with Ben Longhurst shortlisted for Outstanding Sales Representative as well as the company’s nomination for Outstanding Supplier.

Hern adds “Ben is a key member of our Auckland on premise team and although he missed out on a win on Sunday night, I can’t stress enough how proud I am of him and our team. Ben’s nomination and our supplier win is a fantastic endorsement of our commitment to the on premise channel and is all the more special as it is voted for by our industry peers.“

EUROVINTAGE’s involvement in the awards ceremony ended as Marketing Manager Andy Reid presented The Roxy’s Gary Olasz with the Outstanding Wine List award. EUROVINTAGE is an inaugural sponsor of the event having supported the Outstanding Wine List category for the tenth consecutive year.
