Tamdhu Distillery sits on the banks of the River Spey in the heart of Speyside, one of Scotland’s most renowned whisky regions. Founded in 1897, Tamdhu Distillery was built during the great Victorian expansion of Scotch whisky and has earned a reputation for quality and consistency ever since.
From the outset, Tamdhu was designed with precision and scale in mind, combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative engineering for its time. Today, that legacy continues through a singular focus: the exclusive use of sherry cask maturation. Unlike many distilleries that incorporate a mix of cask types, Tamdhu matures all of its whisky in carefully selected European and American oak casks seasoned with sherry.
